We are visiting Disney 5/29/11 - 6/1/11 with our boys ages 12 and 2 as well as both my mom and MIL. How much time will we have with the characters for pics during our character meal? I have several pic scenarios in my head. Will there be time?

    Hi Thomas!

We will be there at the same time - be sure to say hi if ya see me!!!  I love that your mom and mother in law will be travelling along with you.  It can be so much fun to see how Disney World dazzles every generation at once!  Of course, it doesn't hurt that you will have built in babysitters as well...

I personally have NEVER felt rushed during our "face time" with the characters at a character meal.  Unlike the meet and greets throughout the parks, the characters come to your table and mingle with your entire party.  We always take several pictures and find that the characters are always game to play along - in fact, they usually come up with some pretty creative poses of their own!  I would just be as prepared as possible.  Simply keep an eye out and when it appears that the characters are coming to you next, just have your camera ready!  You don't have to have the kiddos in position or anything, just let them keep eating until it is your turn.  Unless of course you have a completely elaborate pose in mind!  While it may be tempting for your boys to rush up to the characters as soon as they see them, try to hold them back - everyone will get visited!

I wish that I could see your pics - I am so intrigued!

    Much pixie dust,
