Hi there, Shelly - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists today. We love to help Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
All Guests have several different options for showing their admission when visiting the Theme Parks. Using
MagicBands has been the most popular method for many years, and even though you are not staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you are still eligible to purchase a MagicBand, link it to your My Disney Experience Account, and use it to access the Theme Parks (with your valid admission and Park Pass Reservation), access Lightning Lanes at attractions, link PhotoPass photographs, and more!
You mentioned pulling out your phone, which is another method you can use.
Disney's new MagicMobile service essentially turns your compatible smartphone into a MagicBand of sorts, and best of all, it's free!
If neither of these options appeals to you, you can instead obtain a card to use by visiting any
Guest Relations location, ticket window, or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Personally, I do like to have a physical card as a backup, but my preference is to use the new MagicMobile service. I have mine linked to my Apple Watch so my phone doesn't even leave my pocket. If you're curious about this service but are having trouble setting it up, just stop by and chat with a Guest Experience Team member inside a Theme Park for assistance!
I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning your upcoming vacation. The
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is packed full of exciting entertainment, new attractions, food, and so much more - get ready to make some magical memories!
