We're visiting Disney in April with 9 yr old granddaughter who recently broke her ankle and will be in a cast or large boot due to deep bone bruise. How will we get around? what about a wheelchair? Does Disney have them and at what additional cost?

    Hello Richard!

I am so sorry to hear about your granddaughter's ankle! But don't worry, broken ankle and all, she is going to have a great vacation! When you arrive at the parks, you can rent a wheelchair literally at the entrance. The prices are $12 daily or $10 per day for multi-day or for the length of stay. For more information please check out the following link: Wheelchair Rentals. I would also recommend that you stop by Guest Services so that your granddaughter can be given a Guest Assistance Card. The card will let cast members know that you may need special assistance while in queue or boarding rides. When you obtain a Guest Assistance Card, let the cast member know how long your stay will be and the Guest Assistance Card will be valid for the entire trip. You won't need to get a new card each day. Also make sure to tell the cast member how many people are in your party. The Guest Assistance Card will be valid for up to 5 people traveling with you.

Hope this helps! If I can assist you with any other planning need, please feel free to send me your questions!

    Have a great trip!
