Welcome to planDisney, Bradley!
Oh boy! Congratulations on celebrating 50 years of marriage! That is quite an achievement. Did you know that Walt Disney World is also celebrating its
50th Anniversary? And you're invited! Having personally celebrated my own wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World, I have some suggestions for you to make your upcoming trip "practically perfect in every way."
Here's a simple and fun idea: Stop by Guest Relations at any Theme Park and tell a Cast Member that you're celebrating your 50th anniversary. They'll wave their magic wand and conjure up some special anniversary buttons for you to wear. You can then wear these buttons throughout his trip. Cast Members and even fellow Guests will see them and be able to wish you a "Happy Anniversary!" My wife and I did this for our 5th-year anniversary and it was lovely being congratulated by so many people. It felt like we were at the center of our own Disney story.
I'd also suggest exploring the
Enchanting Extras Collection. There are various once-in-a-lifetime experiences to choose from, such as VIP fireworks viewings, spectacular shows, and fascinating behind-the-scenes tours. On my last visit, I experienced a VIP dessert and fireworks viewing of Harmonious with my planDisney pals. We also watched the magnificent
Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. Both of these experiences were truly magical! You could even book a Capture Your Moment photo session at
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT,
Disney's Animal Kingdom, or
Disney's Hollywood Studios. These personalized 20-minute photo sessions are a perfect way to capture the memory of your special occasion.
If you wanted to do something special for your spouse, you can order them a celebratory basket, floral arrangement, or balloon bouquet from
Disney Floral & Gifts. Depending on how much of a sweet tooth you both have, you could even order a special
Mickey Mouse celebration cake. You can pre-order it (choosing the flavor, size, and custom engraving) and have it delivered to any participating restaurant.
Speaking of restaurants, there are many wonderful options to choose from. My personal recommendations would be California Grill, Cítricos, Jiko – The Cooking Place, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Narcoosee’s, Steakhouse 71, or Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. For more suggestions on restaurants,
our planDisney team has put together a bunch of recommendations. You can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of your arrival date. Since tables book up fast, you'll want to make your reservations as soon as possible.
One last suggestion: Did you do anything special for your 25th anniversary that you could repeat? You could then reminisce together about all the memories you've made (and continue to make) together.
I hope you have a magical time, Bradley. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
Mike
