We will be visiting Disney in April but we will only be going to the parks for two days. We will obviously do one day at Magic Kingdom but I was wondering which of the other three parks would be most enjoyable for our kids, 2yr and 8yr.

    Hi, Julie!

I hope you are getting excited for your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World® Resort! April will be here before you know it.

My suggestion for your second theme park day, based on my experiences with my own family, is to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom. Your children will love being able to get up close and personal with the animals of the African Savannah while journeying on Kilimanjaro Safari. There are also great experiences to be had on foot as you explore the Maharajah Jungle Trek and venture into the mystical Anandapur Royal Forest.

In addition to great animal adventures, there are also attractions available to meet the needs of both your children. Your two year old will have a fantastic time flying high on TriceraTop Spin, while your eight year old seeks out a thrilling adventure on Expedition Everest. You also have the option of experiencing Broadway style shows when you take a mid-day break to enjoy Finding Nemo-The Musical.

Disney's Animal Kingdom also has some great dining locations. For quick service, my top pick is Flame Tree Barbecue, the ribs and chicken combo is amazing! A tip about this dining establishment is to take your food and go down the stairs to the very back of the dining shelters, you'll find some of the most peaceful and beautiful views of Asia here. For table service, Yak & Yeti is my favorite, I highly recommend the Honey Crispy Chicken.

From Exotic Animals to world-class entertainment, Disney's Animal Kingdom is where the natural world meets Disney magic. I hope this information is helpful in your decision, Julie. Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have as you plan your second theme park day.

    Have a wild time!
