Hi Heidi! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! Your Walt Disney World trip will be here before you know it! You're only days away from being able to book your
Advanced Dining Reservations, which can be made 60 days in advance of your stay. Let's discuss your upcoming trip and strategies for your park days!
With your teenagers being big fans of Star Wars, it's natural that you'll want to spend a lot of time at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is not only fascinating and immersive but has plenty of experiences that are out of this world. They will have the opportunity to hand-build lightsabers at Savi's Workshop or build their own droid at Droid Depot. There are two incredible attractions inside Galaxy's Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run. Let's also not forget about Star Tours, which was ahead of its time when it debuted years ago. The entire family can stop by
Oga's Cantina for a bubbly beverage and jam out with DJ R-3X. There are also plenty of small outposts to purchase merchandise from and a few quick-service locations to enjoy some themed cuisine. You can easily spend three days at Hollywood Studios if you allocate a lot of time at Galaxy's Edge.
By the looks of it, it seems like you have 5-day park tickets to utilize during this trip. While your itinerary gives you plenty of time to enjoy all things Star Wars, it does leave out a visit to the Magic Kingdom. Since your children are older, they may be okay with skipping this park during your visit. My only caution is that
TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to open on April 4th at the Magic Kingdom. This highly anticipated thrill ride is going to be an amazing addition to the park. If this ride is of any interest, you may want to change one of your park days to the Magic Kingdom toward the end of your stay.
A big factor to consider is if your park tickets contain the
Park Hopper Option. This allows you to visit multiple theme parks each day. If this is the case, you can start your day at one park, then starting at 2 PM, hop over to another park. This would provide you flexibility in case you want another evening in EPCOT or want to watch the nighttime spectacular at the Magic Kingdom. You can also add on this feature anytime leading up to your stay for an additional cost if your tickets don't already have this option.
Heidi, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming stay! Remember,
park reservations are required along with a valid park ticket for entry to the parks each day. Once you figure out your schedule, make sure to secure these reservations as soon as possible!
See ya real soon!
