I will be visiting Disney in april 08 and got the Disney dining plan. I am a lifte time member of Weight Watchers. Is there low fat low calorie items on the menu? I really don't want to over eat and make poor food choices.

I wish I could say I was a lifetime member, but I'm an on-again off-againer.  I do, however, feel very confident telling you that you can do great at WDW while on weight watchers.  In most cases, you will earn a lot of activity points.  The parks are just designed for it.  There is a lot of walking and you have so much fun, you don't even realize your exercising.

The parks are also full of healthy food choices.  Most of the counter service restaurants have choices that include whole grains, fresh and roasted vegetables, lean lunch meats, etc.  At the table service restaurants make sure to mention to your server that you would prefer your meal prepared in a low fat and low calorie manner if possible.  The chefs in WDW are more than happy to accommodate the guest with their dietary wishes.  There are still a few places that may only have oily pizza and small side salads.  The easiest way to stay away from those is to look for the healthy apple symbol next to the restaurant's name on your park guide map.

    Here's a tip:
If your at a breakfast buffet, the chef may be able to make you your own special eggs without any oil or even your own special omelet even if you don't see an omelet bar.  In general at the buffets, ask the folks behind the food station which entrees are cooked with the least amount of oil.

If you eat sensibly and run around Disney World like a four year who just met Mickey Mouse for the first time, you'll probably loose a couple pounds.  Enjoy your trip!!
