Hi! We are visiting from Dec3-9th with 4 adults and 2 kids in tow. We will be meeting with 2 more family members who are staying from nov. 29-Dec. 5th. will we have a hard time making reservations for a table for 8 for a charatcter dining?

    Kellie:

I've used the Disney dining specialists for our family's Grand Gatherings and on other trips have made reservations on my own.  A group of 8 is a lot easier to book yourself, than say, 20.  So if you'll make sure to call on you 90-day-out mark from your vacation, you shouldn't have a problem making a larger reservation, even at the popular restaurants like Ohana, Chef Mickey's, and Crystal Palace.

If, however, you want to try and book one of the special Grand Gathering dining events that require a group of 8 or more, my suggestion is that the two families both link their reservations together through a Grand Gatherings reservation number.  This way, you can use the dining specialists in the Grand Gatherings department.  Just call (407) 934-7639 to make your vacations a Grand Gathering, and then the dining specialist can make any dining reservations.  Even if you don't want to book one of the Grand Gathering dining experiences, the specialists can help you with booking other restaurants.

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
