    We are visiting in December and this will be the first time we will be charging to our magic bands, however we were wanting to use Disney gift cards. How do we link these to our bands? Also, can we use the gift cards to pay for dinner in downtown Disney?

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    You will be able to pay your charges with a Disney gift card, however, you'll still need to link a credit card. I recommend that you go to the front desk several times during your vacation to pay down your charges with your gift cards.

    Gift cards can be used at Disney-owned and operated venues that accept credit cards within Walt Disney World. You can find more information on the Disney gift card here. If in doubt, I'd recommend calling first.
