We are visiting 4 days with kids 7 and 3. We aren't buying the meal plan & I'm wondering what is realistic for dining reservations? I have 2 lunch reservations for sit down service but will we be too tired for sit down dinner most nights?

    Hi Rosa,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It's exciting to hear you are planning your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. I'm happy to hear you already have 2 lunch reservations planned.

Here are 2 simple, honest truths I can offer about planning dining reservations based on my experience. First, no one knows you and your family better than you and your family. Second, you will have many high-quality and delicious dining choices that best meet the needs of you and your family.

You already have 2 lunch reservations, and that's great. So how do you see your days playing out? Do you want to make it up as you go along and see what you're in the mood for food-wise? Absolutely, you can do that in every park and find really tasty in-the-moment fast casual offerings. Do you want to take the guess-work out of the equation and make a dinner reservation so you don't need to think about it? Yes, you can do that as well.

There are many sit-down, table service dining experiences you can enjoy — whether they are signature dining, character dining, or dinner shows. And there are many really quick service and counter service choices as well.

For me, personally, I like to make one reservation a day that I'm really looking forward to experiencing with my family, and then I like the flexibility to make up the rest for us as we go.

Rosa, this is your magical vacation. Know yourself and your family. Treat yourself and your family to a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Whatever you decide is right for you, there will be many delicious, nutritious choices to make it happen.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
