Hi! Will be visiting in 10 days to celebrate my DD's 2nd birthday. Staying at Wilderness Lodge -- woods view room. Is there are specific location I should request that has nice views, but is relatively quiet for daytime naps/early bedtime? Thanks so much!!

    Hi Christi!

The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite Disney Resort Hotel.  I think you made an excellent choice.  A woods view room is basically a room that faces the woods towards the Magic Kingdom; however, you won't be able to glimpse the Magic Kingdom.  The Wilderness Lodge's lobby can be very loud, especially in the evening when guests are dining at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  In fact, it can be downright noisy!  I suggest asking for a high room in one of the wings; definitely put down that you want to be far from the lobby, especially if you are interested in an early bedtime!

That said, be sure to make a reservation yourself for the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  It is a lot of fun for the whole family.  My two boys, ages 12 and 7, have been going there for years and they have always loved it.  Be sure to bring a camera for some unique photo opportunities.  Also, be sure to insist on a large glass of something and ask for ketchup!

If you want a quiet, but romantic place, check out Artist Point.  It is a Disney Signature Restaurant located in the heart of the Wilderness Lodge.  If you go, request a room that overlooks the waterfall.

Enjoy and please write back with more questions!
