We are visiting 6/5-12. A couple of days overlap special events. What kind of crowds can I anticipate? Would you recommend, since we are not participating in any speical event, to visit different parks? Do you have a schedule of events for our vacation

    Hi Laurie,

Early June is a great time to visit Walt Disney World.  A lot of schools are still finishing up their last weeks, so the crowds aren't quite as large as they are at the end of the month and throughout July.

There is a rather popular convention that takes place around the time you are traveling. Each day, many of the attendees go to a specific park, and it does increase attendance.  Saturday, June 5 many of the convention goers will be at Magic Kingdom, and Sunday, June 6 they will be mostly at Epcot.

Also, Star Wars Weekends tends to draw large crowds at Hollywood Studios.  If anyone in your party is a huge Star Wars fan, then you won't want to miss it.  Otherwise, visit Hollywood Studios during the week to avoid the huge crowds.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
