We are visiting over the Christmas holidays and were wondering what you get extra for the wdw Christmas parade party that you have to pay extra for.

    Hello Rachael,

Thanks for visiting with your question. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event on select nights in Magic Kingdom park and is full of holiday fun!

The party is held from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM on select nights and includes special shows, dance parties, holiday meet-and-greet opportunities and of course Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade. The night is capped off with the incredible fireworks show, Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season.

I really enjoy attending these special event parties because of the seasonal extras like free hot cocoa and cookies, a festive atmosphere and many times, lighter crowds. Attraction wait times are also typically much lower than during regular park hours, so it can be a great way to get some extra ride time on some of your favorites.

Check out the Disney Parks Blog for tips and information on past parties to get more information and see photos to help you decide if you want to include this in your vacation.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday, Rachael.

    Happy planning!
