Hi Olga! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
I've needed to rent a mobility device during a visit to the parks due to temporary mobility issues, and I can assure you that the process is easy and should make a big difference in your husband's experience. I'm happy to walk you through it!
Wheelchairs and ECVs are available for
daily rental at the Stroller Shop outside Disneyland Park. Prices are subject to change and in addition to the rental price, you also will be charged a refundable deposit. You'll be visiting at a popular time, so be aware that ECVs are only available on a first-come, first-served basis. Since you can't reserve one, I suggest you arrive early to help ensure you're able to rent for the day. I don't want you to arrive and find they're all rented out! Also, keep in mind the safety guidelines for usage in the parks and Downtown Disney District.
Disneyland Resort is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Guests. To this end, they have kept in mind those with mobility issues. There are helpful services, guides, and additional information you might want to check out ahead of your arrival. The
Mobility Disabilities page is a great place to start.
You can also filter for Attractions that allow Guests to remain in their ECV, transfer from their ECV, or require Guests to be fully ambulatory. Navigate to the
Attractions and Rides page and click the "Accessibility & Advisories" tile to bring up the list of filters you can select from for "Mobility Disabilities." This way you can sketch out your day and avoid any Attractions on this visit that might conflict with your group's needs. But I think you'll find that most of the park is incredibly accessible! Plus, don't forget that Cast Members are always ready to help advise you if you have questions during your visit.
I hope you have the merriest time!
Elizabeth
