We are visiting The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Disney World in January. I heard it can get a little chilly at night in Florida, compared to a mid-October night in the north. Are the Cabins equipped with a heating unit in case is get cold at night?

Hiya Juliann - welcome back to planDisney!

I'm so happy to see that you're connecting with us to help plan your upcoming vacation. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort adventures!

First, let me just say that you've made a great choice staying in a Cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! This is a totally unique accommodation at Walt Disney World Resort, and there's something extra magical about leaving the hustle and bustle of the Theme Parks and retreating to your very own cabin in the woods.

Juliann, while these cabins do give off a rustic vibe, rest assured that they are up-to-date modern accommodations, no different than you'd expect at other Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. That includes each cabin's very own HVAC system which gets some extra use this time of year pumping out air conditioning during the day and heat on cooler nights. You'll be able to adjust the thermostat to match your crew's comfort preferences! Keep in mind that you also have a kitchenette with a nice large refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and even a dishwasher. This makes it super convenient to prepare your own meals, or store leftovers.

Speaking of food (and fun) have you considered making a reservation for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue? This fun dinner show features amazing singing, dancing, and more, complete with an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal! Plus, it's close by in Fort Wilderness' Pioneer Hall making it a great way to close out your evening.

I hope this information is helpful, Juliann - stop by with more questions any time!
