    Visiting CA Adv for the opening of Cars Land on 6-15-12. Never been to any opening day at Disney. Anything we should know or expect? Will it be too crowded to enjoy? I'm hoping there might be some extra special events planned, etc.

    We are in for a special week at the Disneyland Resort. How often is it that you get to experience being a part of a once in a lifetime magical event. The opening of Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and so much more at Disney California Adventure Park will mark the beginning of a new era at Disney and you will be there in person on Opening Day. There sure will be some amazing Opening Day souviners to commemorate this historic day at the parks. I have my eye on one of the 'Storytellers' Statue of Walt and Mickey which will be unveiled on opening day. With all of the new attractions, merchandise, dining experiences and entertainment you can bet that the first day will draw quite a crowd. I would suggest trying to stay at one of the Disney Hotels or arriving at the parks very early to make sure you get every opportunity to experience this magical day. One last tip, bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and drink lots of water. I am happy to report that I will be attending along with my ladies and we are so excited to finally enjoy these magical experiences as a family as I am sure you will also. I cannot wait to see you this week at the parks.
