Disney's Blizzard Beach

We will be visiting Blizzard Beach on the 6th of January and have booked one of the standard patios and was just wondering what it is like as we have never used them before? Are the lockers located in the locker bay or are they placed at the patio itself?

Hi there Melissa, it's great to welcome you back to planDisney before your visit next month!

There's just something so nice about the idea of traveling from a colder climate to land in a significantly warmer Orlando with a relaxing day to splash and soak in the sun to look forward to - especially with the launch of the Water Park Perk for Disney Resort Hotel guests in 2025! (It's definitely a fun juxtaposition when you take a photo of the simulated snow and icy features found through Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park while standing next to it in swimwear to send to family and friends back home actually braving some winter weather.)

I just recently spent the day there with my husband and had a chance to look around, take a peek at one of the Premium Plus Polar Patios and enjoy a morning sliding down the slopes (all in the name of good planDisney research of course) and I'm happy to share what the current locker situation is like:

    • With your Standard Polar Patio booking, a locker comes included as one of the amenities to make your visit that much more convenient. Luckily, you won't be required to trek all the way back to where the lockers for most guests are located adjacent to Frostbite Freddy's Frozen Freshments across from where the Guest Services Cast Members are stationed - I'm happy to confirm that on our recent visit each Polar Patio had their own locker easily found attached to the wooden railings surrounding the space.
    • For the Polar Patios that weren't occupied at the time, I noticed that these were kept under blue protective coverings and they might not be immediately obvious when you first enter, as many had food and beverage menus printed on them with an electronic door that you can access from the side using a wristband that the Cast Members should provide you with.
    • The design of this locker was distinctly triangular and I felt like I'd seen them elsewhere, so I took the opportunity to research further using the printed label within and found that they're actually a "BOXaki Key-Free Safety Box" designed by Sojourn Products. (Looking this up should provide you with an idea of the overall dimensions and capacity so you can plan ahead for what you might be able to store in there; from what I observed there were also cables within to charge mobile devices though this may be subject to availability.)
It's important to note that offerings are subject to change without prior notice and I remember that the lockers when I was younger were different and lower to the ground, so this may have been a more recent change over the past few years. Be sure to take the opportunity to peruse the Disney Water Parks Guide Map available online, so that you can plan out your day with all of the downhill thrills and places to just float along and chill!

Here's to starting off a New Year with a Splash!
