We are visiting from Australia as hubby is attending a conference (Contemporary Resort) - our accommodation has been organised through the conference. We still need to buy theme park tickets and I was interested in the Dining Plan. Is that possible? Mon

    Monique:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

In order to take advantage of Disney's Dining Plan, you have to book your room, tickets and dining plan through a Disney-authorized travel agent or through Disney itself.  The package is called a "Magic Your Way" package with dining.

However, usually groups that come for conventions and conferences book their rooms in a block and, therefore, get a group discount on the rooms.  And in that case, you wouldn't be eligible to purchase the dining plan if you've already booked your room through the conference.

Keep in mind though, when it comes to tickets, you can check with the organization leading the conference.  Many times they offer 1/2-day park tickets and other discounted tickets.  If they don't, check out a Disney ticket discounter like www.undercovertourist.com or you can simply but your tickets from the concierge at the Contemporary!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
