Aloha Lucy and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that your trip to Hawai'i is nearly here, you'll be enjoying the ocean air in no time. I'm always happy to chat with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member about
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa so let's dive in!
My family visited Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa exactly a year ago and had an incredible visit to the island of Oʻahu. It was our very first trip to the Hawaiian Islands and we dream about going back! We decided we wanted to explore the island, see the sights, and have the freedom to enjoy nature's offerings, so we chose to rent a vehicle from the airport upon arrival.
Parking can be a bit of a concern but not to worry, Lucy, Aulani Resort has a great system. Guests with vehicles can choose self-parking or Valet parking and the good news: both parking types have accessible parking. Guests will need to display a valid disability parking permit and the designated parking spots are easily identified in the self-parking area. For valet parking, please follow the directions to the designated area (keep straight and don't turn at the self-parking area). You mentioned that you are using Disney Vacation Club points for your stay; you'll have access to complimentary self-parking (maximum of 2 vehicles per reservation). If you choose to use valet parking, the fee is $40 per day (subject to change).
Aulani offers accessible rooms for Guests with disabilities whether they be mobility disabilities or hearing disabilities. If you require further assistance, you can reach support either directly through the Aulani website or by
phone.
Tip: I highly recommend checking the Daily ‘Iwa, it highlights the week’s events and activities so you can better plan your stay. It will tell you when and where to meet Characters, feed the fish at
Rainbow Reef, and if there are beach activities you might like to partake in with your family.
Lucy, wishing you a wonderful visit to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Please enjoy a refreshing Mickey-shaped Shave Ice from
Pāpālua Shave Ice in the
Waikolohe Valley pool area for me! If you have any other planning questions, we're happy to help here at
planDisney.
