We are visiting in August for 7 nights with our two boys ages 4 & 7. Are breakfast and dinner reservations necessary for every meal? We don't want to be on a very strict routine.

The summer months at Walt Disney World can tend to be busy and crowded.  I always suggest to family and friends to secure at least one dining reservation per day.  This could be either breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  Some days we will end up with two if there is something special being planned or we want to take in a great character dining experience.  Each park and resort has quick service or counter service dining establishments to choose from that don't require reservations.  During busy times finding a spot at table service locations is not easy but don't hesitate to ask if there is a table available.

Selecting and making a reservation for one meal a day assures you that you can sit and relax and have a leisurely meal.  We would use the time to reflect on all the magic that had happened so far on our vacation!

You can review some of the latest menus and prices from all Disney restaurants by going to www.allears.net and typing in MENUS in the search box.  By becoming familiar with the menus beforehand you can save time knowing which places offer choices that your family enjoys.
