Will be visiting in August. My daughter (5) is very afraid of fireworks, where is the best place to view and not be bothered by the sound? We are staying at POP. Thank you SO much!!

Hi, Brandi! My oldest son, now 6 years old, was a lot like your daughter. No, he didn't act like a little girl but he did fear fireworks when he was 3, 4 and 5 years old.

Say it's time for Wishes in the Magic Kingdom. Everybody would stop in their tracks to watch. We'd be hightailing it down Main Street or hiding out in an indoor attraction avoiding a meltdown. That was year one.

Year two, we brought earplugs for him and they worked like a charm. He would flinch due to reflex but it eliminated the outright panic.

Year three, he kinda did a non-violent protest to fireworks. We had earplugs on standby.

Year four, he loved 'em. Whew!

If you'd like to steer clear of them, think about watching Wishes via The California Grill, Narcoosees, the Polynesian beach or the Grand Floridian beach. Epcot? La Hacienda and, to a lesser degree, Rose and Crown.
