Hello and welcome to planDisney, Matthew!
Thank you for visiting us with a great question! I am happy to hear that in a few weeks you will be making memories at the Walt Disney World Resort! Making reservations for lunch at table-service restaurants is one of my favorite ways to escape the midday heat during the summer months. There is nothing better than resting and cooling off while enjoying a delicious meal!
I have already ordered drinks and an appetizer or dessert at table-service restaurants, however being able to do that depends on the service type offered at the restaurant you are visiting. Guests dining at character dining locations and restaurants that only offer a prix-fixe service, like family-style restaurants, must pay for the full amount per person.
The Crystal Palace is currently offering a prix-fixe menu with a selection of individually plated entrees and family-style salads and desserts, so you would have to pay for the full amount per Guest to dine there (please note that characters are currently not available at this location).
I believe there are other table-service restaurants at Magic Kingdom Park that meet your needs, like
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen,
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, and
The Plaza Restaurant. Remember that reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance
online or via the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Select quick-service locations also offer indoor seating, so be sure to check Columbia Harbour House and Pecos Bill Tall Tell Inn and Cafe – these are my favorite locations at Magic Kingdom Park, and I love that they accept Mobile Food & Beverage Ording to help you save time!I hope this information is helpful, Matthew! Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, we are delighted to help!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
