Hi Dian! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! You're only a month away until you become an
Annual Passholder to the Walt Disney World Resort! There is nothing quite like the first day visiting a park knowing that you have a full calendar year to visit as often as your pass allows.
Dian, I have some good news for you. Once you
purchase an Annual Pass, you can begin making theme park reservations for the parks you plan to visit. Whether you make the purchase at a Guest Relations booth outside of a theme park entrance or online using the Walt Disney World website, your Annual Pass will be linked to your My Disney Experience account. Once it is, use the
My Disney Experience App on your mobile device to make a theme park reservation to the park you plan to visit. Tap the "+" sign on the bottom of your screen and select "Make or Modify Park Reservations." Choose the park on the correct date you are visiting to lock in your reservation. There is a chance that some parks may not have availability for the day of your visit since you'll be waiting until the day of to make this selection. If this happens, you can choose another park that is available and spend some time there first. You can then hop over to the other park once you've visited the first one.
If you are concerned about
theme park reservations filling up before you arrive, I suggest purchasing your Annual Pass before arriving onsite to Walt Disney World. Once you've made your purchase, you can make as many park reservations as your Annual Pass allows in advance of your arrival. The start date of your Annual Pass will not begin until you visit a park for the first time. Even if you purchase a pass today, it will not activate until your first park day.
Dian, I hope this information helps you plan for your visit!
