Bonjour, Harvey! Welcome to planDisney. We're glad you stopped by with your question!
My family and I went to
Disneyland Paris at the beginning of this year, and you are in for a treat. While the theming and concepts are the same, there are some fabulous surprises to be found at Disneyland Paris. I found that even though many of their rides have counterparts in
Disneyland Resort in California, each ride was different enough that I was really glad we didn't skip any. I get that this can be hard if you don't have many days at Disneyland Paris, but it is worth the effort to check out the Disneyland Paris version of
Pirates of the Caribbean,
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and
"it's a small world". Even Casey Jr. – le Petit Train du Cirque was breathtaking, and we were glad we rode it! And they have
Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain as a year-round attraction, unlike we Californians who get it at certain times of the year!
Harvey, be sure to download the Disneyland Paris mobile app before your arrival. I found it helpful in planning my dining reservations and getting my bearings once I arrived. I also recommend purchasing
Disney Premier Access, if you're short on time. There are two Premier Access options, which are similar to the Lighting Lanes options you can book at Disneyland Resort in California. Disney Premier Access Ultimate and Disney Premier Access One give you speedy access to some of the most popular attractions and shows; and are the best way to maximize your time at the parks.
I hope this information helps in your planning, Harvey. To be honest, I could have spent a whole week at Disneyland Paris and still not have had enough time. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Bon voyage,
Melissa
