We'll be visiting Animal Kingdom on November 8, 2017. Will we miss out on seeing the Valley of Mo'ara lit up at night?

    Hi Amanda,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

I was recently able to visit Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It is amazing! The land is so immersive and there is so much to see and do. The attractions, Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey, are beautiful. I really enjoyed my meal at Satu'li Canteen as well.

I pulled up the calendar for Disney's Animal Kingdom on November 8. It looks like the park closes at 8:00 p.m. that night. My guess is that given that time, you should still be able to see the Valley of Mo'ara lit up for the night. This date is after daylight savings time has the clocks move back by an hour, so it will be getting dark earlier on by date. I also see that Rivers of Light has a 6:30 p.m. showing that night, and it does need to be fairly dark for that show, so I imagine that you will have some time before 8:00 p.m. where it is pretty dark in the park.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Amanda. Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions!
