Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited to hear you have plans to see Disney's
Rivers of Light, which is so amazing! To find out what time the first show is on the date you are visiting, you'll want to select this specific date in
Park Hours. Then, click on
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to expand the details about that date. It is here you'll see the time of the show. For example on May 17, 2017, it is currently schedule for 9:15 PM (times are subject to change).
When you go to eat, you will be given a voucher to use for your seating, and you'll want to arrive at least 15-35 minutes early as you don't have specific reserved seats, but a general area for guests who are have purchased the Rivers of Light Dining Package to sit at.
