Hi, I am visiting Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom this July with a 2 and 4 year old. What would be the best things to use our Fast Passes on? There are so many to choose from and I am not sure which to use the Fast Passes on.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carrie! Your upcoming family trip is going to be very magical! I have two young kids, too, so I’ll tell you what we like to use our FastPass+ reservations on.

When we visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we really enjoy a morning or evening Kilimanjaro Safari ride, the Na’vi River Journey (and then some lunch at Satuli Canteen), and lastly, my kids adore the live entertainment at Festival of the Lion King. Using a FP+ here will allow you to arrive a little later but have reserved seating in a prime location in order to be close to the action. Your kids will enjoy being a part of the musical action! In Magic Kingdom Park, we have a harder time deciding what to ride, and therefore typically spend more than a day here. That sometimes gives us a total of 6 FP+ to schedule over two days, and our top picks are Peter Pan’s Flight, It’s a Small World, Journey of the Little Mermaid, Dumbo, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and my personal favorite, The Jungle Cruise. If there is a short line for any of these attractions, we’ll reschedule them for something else (perhaps a second spin on Dumbo?!) and we always make use of Extra Magic Hours if possible.

If I can provide any more insight to traveling with young kids or perhaps the Baby Care Centers, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
