I am visiting Anaheim in a week. I know that Disney is closed but is there anywhere in the park that I can just take my kids to look at it and maybe see some of the cool buildings. We had tickets for March, right before COVID 19 happened.

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Rebeca, you’re as welcome as can be to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so sorry you had to cancel your March visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, I know how disappointing that must have been for you and your family.

I’m excited for your upcoming getaway to Anaheim, but I’m sorry you won’t be able to visit the Disneyland Resort just yet.  As you know, unfortunately the Disneyland Resort theme parks, hotels, and Downtown Disney District are currently closed, and a reopening date hasn’t been identified. So, that closure includes the parking structures and lots surrounding the theme parks, too. However, there is a spot nearby that may offer your family the view you’re looking for – it’s called The FIFTH Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, and it’s located on the rooftop of the Grand Legacy at the Park, which also happens to be a Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel. When the parks are open, this is a great spot to catch the evening fireworks. Even though that won’t be happening during your visit, you should still have great views of Disney California Adventure Park, including Cars Land, and one of my favorite attractions, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! Hopefully this will be a fun way to enjoy a meal while pointing out familiar sights with your children! I recommend calling ahead to check their hours and make a reservation at (714) 772-0899.

Last but not least, I recommend keeping your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog, since that’s the best spot for the latest Disney Parks news, updates, and #DisneyMagicMoments. You can also check this page on Disneyland.com for updates, too. Hopefully you and your family will be planning your next visit to the theme parks soon, Rebeca!

Wishing you a safe and magical getaway!
