Hello, Amanda! What a great trip you have planned for your three generations! How fantastic! While I have never personally been upgraded at Animal Kingdom Lodge, anything is possible! Must-sees? We really enjoyed our meals at Boma-Flavors of Africa. With a little one in tow, a buffet meal such as this one ensures that you'll have access to food very quickly upon being seated...and a more adventurous eater might be the result, too! Next, while we love Uzima pool, with its fantastic slide and The Mara (Quick-Service dining) right next door, be SURE to walk (10 minutes) or take the resort bus over to Disney's Animal Kingdom-Kidani Village. While your mom can celebrate her birthday either lounging by the lovely Samawati Springs pool and slide, she could also opt to watch as your little one enjoys Uwanja Camp. This area is so fun, and so cool, that I booked our upcoming 3-generation trip to be based there. Your hotel room is not too far away to begin the nap in the stroller on your way to your room! Finally, I highly recommend a dinner at Sanaa, too. We ALWAYS book a dinner at Sanaa. You won't find food such as this many other places, and its location right at your nearby resort makes it even better. If you book a reservation prior to the sun setting, you can also take advantage of checking out the beautiful savanna as you wait for your table to be ready. The Savanna Guides are always so helpful in explaining the nuances of Walt Disney World's savannas as well as what Guests might see if they were traveling to Africa. You'll notice how wonderful this resort is, and these Cast Members are, the first night that you are there! Enjoy! Please send additional questions as you think of them! I'd love to help!
