Will be visiting AK Christmas day and will head back to our resort, CS in the late afternoon. We have dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse. Is it best to take the bus to Epcot, and go through Int'l Gateway, or take bus to Hollywood Studios and then boat to YC?

    Hi Christine,

Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse sounds like a perfect way to cap Christmas Day at Walt Disney World. I had a fabulous meal there earlier this month with a group of Disney Parks Moms Panel friends. It had been a while since I had visited, and I had forgotten just how great the food and the service are. I hope you are just as satisfied.

From Coronado Springs, I would definitely take the bus to Hollywood Studios. You can take the boat from there, but honestly, my family always finds it faster and simpler to walk from Hollywood Studios to the Epcot area resorts. The walk shouldn't take more than about 20 minutes along a wide, well-lighted pathway toward Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club and Epcot.

If you choose the boat, please know that it will stop first at the the Swan and Dolphin before arriving at the Yacht Club.

You also could take the bus to the Epcot entrance and cut through the park to exit at the International Gateway, but I think that would be a much longer walk and would take more time, especially since you would need to pass through security to enter Epcot on what likely will be a very busy evening.

Thanks for stopping by with your question, Christine. We're always here to help with advice on transportation, dining, resorts or any other planning need. Enjoy your holiday at Walt Disney World!
