We are visiting Disneyland/California Adventure. However, we are staying with my best friend while we are there. She can not commit to a specific day because of her work schedule. If I reserve a date and we need to change it, can we? How do I do that?

Greetings, Abby!

Welcome to planDisney, we are so happy to have you visiting us today. Hooray! You both are on your way to The Happiest Place on Earth, I’m so excited for you.

As you already know, you will need a valid Theme Park Ticket and Theme Park Reservation to visit the parks. If you two are set on visiting together, I highly recommend trying to select a date that will both work for you. Especially since Theme Park Reservations are based on availability.

Abby, you are more than welcome to make changes to any reservation you make, subject to availability. What you will need to do is cancel the existing reservation, then go ahead and make your new reservation the same way you originally did. Of course, I recommend checking the Availability calendar before canceling your original date.

I hope the two of you have a fantastic visit. Traveling with my best friends, who are coincidentally my sisters, is my favorite thing to do. We try for an annual trip either to Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort. This year, we hope to visit The Happiest Place on Earth in the fall.
