Hi! We will be visitiing in July 09 & have made plans for dinner at the Whispering Canyon for 7:00PM on the night of our arrival. Want to do the Campfire Sing-A-Long, times collide. Would it be worth changing dinner time?

    Heather:

Both the restaurant and the sing-a-long are favorites of our family!  So, yes, I'd consider calling and getting an earlier reservation.

Although the campfire doesn't begin until 8:00 p.m., you'll need 45 minutes to transfer by boat from the Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness and then walk to the campfire or wait for the bus to take you the short 3-minute ride up to the front of Meadows Trading Post that stands in front of the camp circle.  A 5:30 reservation would be optimal, giving you 1-1/2 hours for dinner and walking-around time.

Don't forget they'll be showing a free Disney movie on the big, outside screen the night of the campfire!  It'll begin at 8:40 p.m.!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
