Hi! Have visited WDW 5 times, each for 9-10 days. We are planning our first trip to DL next July, with 4 children (4,8,10,13) - how many days do we need to do everything a few times and really 'do' DL - also, do we need the stroller?

    Hey there Julia,

This year, the Disneyland Resort completed a multi-faceted expansion and renovation project and now there's more to see and do than ever before!  You might have heard the new punchline for the resort, "The Happiest Place on Earth just got even Happier."  Well it certainly did, and with so many new and exciting offerings, Disneyland is truly the ultimate multi-day vacation destination.

Disneyland is much more compact than Walt Disney World, so it is definitely possible to experience everything in a shorter amount of time!  That said, I have spent over a week at Disneyland without becoming bored!  I think 5 days is the magic number, but if you want to stay longer, by all means, do so! There is plenty to keep you occupied!  On a 5 day vacation, you could devote a full day to each park, 2 days split between the two, and a day to explore Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Resort Hotels!

The age old stroller question is hard to answer and I think it really just depends on your personal preference!  I am Mom to a 5 year old and the stroller is still a must for us.  Even if she only rides in it at the end of a long day, it's so nice to have a place to store our stuff while we're walking through the parks.  Strollers also provide the perfect haven for little ones when they become tired or need to take a break.  Disneyland is smaller than WDW, but there's still a lot of ground to cover!

Please write back to me if you think of any other questions!  As someone who frequents both DL and WDW, I understand where you're coming from!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
