I just visited Walt Disney World this week and loved the scent in the lobby at the Contemporary Resort. It seemed like a new or different scent than I remember from my last visit. What scent is currently used at the Contemporary?

Hey there! Hi there, Kaleb! I am so glad you had the scents to come back to planDisney with your questions about fragrances at Walt Disney World Resort. I love that feeling of walking across the threshold into a Walt Disney World hotel, and the scents wrap you in a warm, welcoming embrace.

Kaleb, I saw you have this same feeling with a few resorts, so I am hoping you will venture with me like Alice in Wonderland and let's get you the information you seek about Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.

Our first stop through the Looking Glass: a Cast Member. I confirmed Disney still uses the brand ScentAir in their resort lobbies. It seems all three of these resorts are listed using "Sea Breeze." I could not find this fragrance within the home products from ScentAir, so our adventure continues.

The Contemporary Resort and BoardWalk Inn have similar scents, so they could possibly share the same fragrance. I am not so convinced about Port Orleans—French Quarter. So let's start with the two.

I went to see what Tweedledee and Tweedledum (aka, consensus of opinions online) have to say. Turns out, there is a ScentAir fragrance named "Green Aloe and Clover." I found a lot of conversation around this being the choice for both the Contemporary Resort and BoardWalk Inn, so I explored this idea. ScentAir describes Green Aloe and Clover as having "renewing notes of lemon verbena, watery aloe leaf, green daisy, hillside clover leaf and natural woods." Sounds about right. I think they are onto something.

Port Orleans - French Quarter is like the Cheshire Cat: the answer may be hanging around somewhere, but I have yet to see it. I went back to the list that says "Sea Breeze." If it is a Gulf Shores breeze wafting through cotton pillows on a porch swing, maybe. This resort transports me to stately mansions in America's Bayou. It's a possibility, but I'm still feeling like I am a little mad here. I am sorry. I have unlocked doors and have no ScentAir fragrances other than possibly Sea Breeze to share.

Like Alice, let's open the bottle labeled "Drink Me" and wander through another door or two.

If you are headed back to Walt Disney World Resort, you have a few options for bringing these fragrances home. The Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs has been known to carry candles that smell like both the Walt Disney World resorts and attractions. Another option is Bowes Signature Candle, also in Disney Springs.

If you are back in our shared state of Georgia, Disney Springs may be a bit beyond the Looking Glass right now. I have ordered candles and wax melts from online stores that sell products that are inspired by these scents. One of my absolute favorites is crafted to smell like Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. As soon as it warms up, I am instantly transported to the steps leading to 'Ohana and memories of the first time I dined there. Pure Magic!

I hope you find this helpful for all your inquiries. If you have any other questions, stroll back by planDisney. You can find us sitting by a tree, reading a book and waiting to go on a new adventure with you.

It's nice when we can make something make scents!
