Hiya Desiree. A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney and thank you for sharing your question with us. Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that someone wasn't able to join you for your last visit and I'm pleased to help out.
The good news is that your wholly unused ticket can be used for a later date. You can check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar for open reservations when you're ready. The ticket can easily be transferred to someone else via the
Disneyland app. To do this, have the person you're transferring the ticket to open the Disneyland app and tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner. Next, tap the "Tickets and Passes" tile, the "+" in the top right corner and then "Link Tickets & Passes." I find the easiest is to use the "Camera" feature to scan the barcode to add the ticket, however, you can also simply provide the ticket ID number to be manually entered into the app.
That's all there is to it. And no need to worry about the name on the ticket. When the ticket is first used and scanned for park entrance, the Cast Member will take a photo of the person using the ticket which will serve as the ticket user identification moving forward. Now all that's left is to decide when the next visit will be and which lucky person will be joining you.
The
Disney100 Celebration is in full swing and it's an especially magical time to visit the Disneyland Resort. I hope you were able to see the two new nighttime spectaculars and the
"Magic Happens" Parade. And of course, we can't forget the best part about visiting (in my opinion) is the food and snacks. I hope you were able to indulge in as many of the Disney100 festive eats as you could. I can't wait to go back for another Lemon Chiffon Pie.
I hope I was able to give you the information you need for your next visit, Desiree. Please come back with any other questions that come to mind. Until then, have a magical day.
Michelle
