We have visited Magic Kingdom every year for the past 5 years. I have seen families chosen to ride in the 3:00 parade. Does anyone know if this is reserved or if they are chosen anonymously?

Hi Miracle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I have been dreaming of becoming Grand Marshal of the parade in Magic Kingdom park since the first time I realized that real guests are chosen to be part of this fantastic celebration! I imagine myself and my family riding along in front of the real performers with huge smiles plastered on our faces, waving to guests like the Prince’s and Princess that I think we are! I still haven’t had a shot at this wonderful opportunity however I won’t stop dreaming about this any time soon! Becoming Grand Marshals for the day isn’t something that can be reserved or paid for. Families are chosen at random and honestly I don’t know what the secret is to being chosen.

I hope that maybe your dream of becoming Grand Marshal on your next trip comes true…but if it doesn’t don’t ever stop dreaming big!
