I visited Epcot for the first time in Nov '10. I didn't go on Maelstrom because I didn't want to get my camera wet. My friend said you don't get wet. Do you? I saw signs that you could. I'd like to go on the ride when I got back this November. thanks

    Hi JoAnn:

Maelstrom in the Norway Pavilion is a very tame attraction, and you usually stay pretty dry. I've seen some guests get a slight spray or misting on the ride, but not very wet. I suppose anything could happen, but if the only reason you didn't ride was to keep your camera dry, I would just wrap your camera up in a sweater or jacket to protect it. You are virtually certain not ruin your camera on Maelstrom, unless you drop it overboard.

    Enjoy.
