Howdy Jennifer!
Welcome back to planDisney. We absolutely love it when guests return with more questions. I see that you have previously visited Walt Disney World and have a question about the beverage you had at the Mexico pavilion’s
La Cava del Tequila. I love the Mexico pavilion at Epcot. The Aztec pyramid has to be one of the neatest-looking pavilions in the World Showcase. It also has my favorite boat ride at Epcot, the
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros. This ride is super nostalgic for my family and me, and we never miss it.
I see that you had a mocktail on a previous visit to La Cava del Tequila and liked it so much that you were hoping to get the recipe. One of the great things about the restaurants at Walt Disney World is that they are always looking for ways to add new food and beverages to the menu, and unfortunately, that sometimes means they have to make difficult decisions to remove items. I checked the menu for La Cava del Tequila, and it doesn’t look like the Mentirosa is there anymore. I was unable to find out when it was removed, either. I do have a few suggestions on how you might find the receipt for this mocktail. The first would be to check out one of the many Disney cookbooks available in the parks and on the
Disney Store website. Right now, I see quite a few books available, and it’s possible that your drink made it into one of them. The second option would be to stop by La Cava del Tequila and ask a cast member about the receipt. My wife and I were once dining at
Le Cellier Steakhouse, and I mentioned to the cast member how much I enjoyed the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. The next thing I knew, she gave me a recipe card for it. You just never know when pixie dust will come your way.
Jennifer, sincerely hope that you are able to find the recipe of your dream mocktail during your next vacation to Walt Disney World. Have a magical day!
See ya real soon,
Robert
