    Hello, we visited Disney World last year and received our first magic bands. We are visiting again in Sept and when we purchased our package it does not show an option to customize our magic bands. Do we have to use the old bands from last year?

    Hello Elizabeth, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question.

    I am so happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort very soon. I would be glad to help you order a set of new MagicBands for your upcoming trip. You can also continue to use the MagicBands that you received last year during this trip too. I have about a dozen MagicBands that I take with me on every trip, some of them are the complimentary MagicBands you receive as a resort guest and the others are a special edition and limited edition MagicBands I purchased at theme parks and Disney Springs.

    To begin your order, sign in to My Disney Experience and click on the MagicBands and Cards tab. You should see an option to select your orders, click on get started. Next, you will be asked to confirm your shipping address. Once you have updated your shipping information, you will see a countdown of how many days remain to customize your MagicBands. You will then be able to customize the color of MagicBand for everyone listed on your reservation. You can also personalize each MagicBand with a nickname if you would like. Confirm your choices and your MagicBands will be shipped to you approximately 2 weeks prior to your check-in date. On your list of MagicBands and Cards, you can also see how many “Active” MagicBands you have on your account. Any MagicBand with an active status can also be used during your trip.
