    Hi! We visited Disney World last Nov/Dec 2014 and received Magic Bands. We are considering visiting again this December. Will our original bands from last year still work or do you receive new ones for each trip? How long does the battery last? Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,

    Currently Guests who have Disney Resort hotel reservations receive MagicBands.  So if you will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel again this December you will receive new MagicBands for your trip.  Your original MagicBands will still work too as long as you have not deactivated them in your My Disney Experience account.  The batteries are designed to last about 2 years.  I have several MagicBands myself and love to bring different colors with me on my vacations.
