We have visited Disney several times. We always stay at the French Quarter, but have decided to switch to Caribbean Beach this trip. We have a preferred room. What are the perks to this and is it worth it?

We actually stayed in Port Orleans French Quarters previously and a few months ago stayed in a preferred room at Caribbean Beach.  My husband and I kept commenting during our trip how much of a difference it really made.  A preferred room gives you a view of the beach or the water.

They is something about waking up and looking out your window and seeing the lake.  It just feels like your on a Caribbean vacation.  I can't imagine I would have liked that resort as much if I saw the parking lot every morning.

We were also very fortunate that we could see fireworks from Epcot's show IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth every night.  Our room was on the second floor of the resort and we just had to go a few steps out to see the fireworks.
