Mom And Son On Run

    We visited Disney this past November and my son received a DAS pass. I noticed there is a QR code on it. Should I save his DAS and bring it with us on our next trip or will they have his information saved in the system?

    Hi Debbie ~

    I am so happy to hear you're already thinking ahead for your next trip to Disney!

    Because I have a son with several types of disabilities, assisting Guests with disabilities is near and dear to my heart.  I try to spend some time at Guest Relations each trip to find out what changes are being made with the Disability Access Service Card (DAS) since it began last fall.

    The Cast Member I spoke with a few days ago told me that they hope to have a system in place in the future that will retain photos and other information they put on the DAS.  In the meantime, he told me that it will help speed the process up for my son if I bring his DAS from our last trip.  That way they can take a quick photo, fill in the date range of our current trip and the number of Guests in our party and we should be good to go.  Of course they will always go over the Terms and Conditions as they may change and have you sign and date the card.

    If you misplace your son's DAS before your next trip, it won't be the end of the world.  However, if you can hang onto it, it may save you some time until they have the new system completely online.  The gentleman I spoke with didn't have an estimate of time on that right now but you're welcome to check back to see if I have any updates before your next trip.
