I have visited Disney with my husband and 4 children on three different occasions. Each time I booked online with Disney, combining the onsite resort and tickets. Do you know if it is more cost efficient to purchase them separately?

I generally found if you book the room initially, and then add the add-ons as you need later, it works and saves money.  AAA and Corporate discounts for tickets can actually be less expensive than those purchased directly from Disney.  Your package price will be the same whether you buy the tickets as a package or add them later, same goes with the meal plans.  If you can't find the tickets cheaper, you can always add them later.  The only requirement will be the cost of the first night of hotel stay to hold the reservation.
