We visited Animal Kingdom WDW in April 2011. During that time we went to Camp Minnie-Mickey. We are planning another trip Sept 22 - Sept 30th and I am checking the AK calendar I do not see that on the show listing. Has Camp Minnie-Mickey been cancelled?

    Hi Lisa,

Love that you are planning another trip this year!

I was just at Animal Kingdom in June.  While we were there Camp Minnie-Mickey was bustling with activity.  We were able to greet many characters along the trail. The Festival of the Lion King show was held several times that day.  Gi-Tar Dan also performed several times that day.

I checked the online calendar for the dates of your visit, it looks like Festival of the Lion King is scheduled each day during your visit.  Disney doesn't typically list the Gi-Tar Dan schedule on the Animal Kingdom calendar on the Disney Website.

While Disney does not post all of the entertainment schedules on their website, there is an UNOFFICIAL website that usually posts performances about a week days in advance - www.wdwent.com . Although it is an unofficial site, I've found the information to be pretty accurate and very helpful during my planning. The site typically updates schedules on Saturdays for the following week.

Be sure to pick up a Times Guide each day when you enter a park for the most up-to-date schedules.  Times Guides are available at the park entrances, Guest Relations and many merchandise locations.  Always keep in mind that schedules are subject to change without notice.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
