We will visit from the weekend prior to Thanksgiving - the day before Thanksgiving. We are considering staying off property, since there are NO dining plan offers during this period of time. What should we do for meals? 2 kids (10 & under) & 2 ad

    Hi Claudine!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

The parks and resorts will be decorated when you go to Walt Disney World.  Be sure to bring your camera!  You can dine in Quick Service and Table Service locations without being on a Disney Dining Plan.  I'm usually not on a Dining Plan for most of my visits!

Some great places to eat to get you in the Thanksgiving spirit are Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom, Trail's End in Fort Wilderness, and Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge.

Of course, you can eat at the other fabulous restaurants located throughout Walt Disney World as well.  My boys, ages 13 and 8, love dining at:
    • Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort
    • Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge
    • Sci Fi Dine In Theater in Disney's Hollywood Studios

Write back with some more details of what parks you plan on visiting, etc and I would be happy to help you!
