When we visit WDW in Nov '12, my DD wants to stay at the Neverland Club, which looks so cool, while we go on a "date". Would the Grand Floridian be too far away for a dinner reservation or can you suggest a date night restaurant not too far away

Hi Robin! There are many guests who say that their children beg to go to the wonderful Neverland Club for children at the Polynesian resort. The activities and fun keep the children happy and busy while the parents find a few hours to take a breath and slow down during their Disney vacation.

The Grand Floridian is a perfect destination. It is one stop away from the Polynesian on the monorail system or connected by boat service as well. There are two great spots in the resort I would recommend for a date night dinner. The first choice is Victoria and Alberts where you will dine at the finest restaurant on property. Children are not often found as they have an age restriction and the cuisine is generally too different for children's palates. You won't find chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese on the menu! It has a quiet atmosphere and superb food making it the most romantic of all spots.  My second choice would be the wonderful Citricos restaurant. It is a bit more noisy as it is an open concept with the kitchen but there is a beautiful room just away from that. The menu is sophisticated with some wonderful new and different tastes.

Be sure and take time to sit in the lobby either before or after dinner to enjoy the music from the pianist or the orchestra for the added treat.
