Greetings and welcome to
planDisney, Xu, we thank you for this excellent question!
Xu, my family completed a stay at
Walt Disney World Resort followed by sailing with
Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Magic from the port of Miami and we had a fabulous time! Looking back, we wish that we had spent more time in Miami pre-or post-cruise as there is so much to explore in this culturally-rich city offering a stunning skyline, a variety of Arts and entertainment, not to mention the unique beaches and array of dining.
Travel from Walt Disney World Resort to the city of Miami is approximately just over 236 miles, or roughly 3 hours and 20 minutes driving, so we decided to fly into Miami International Airport which took just over one hour, saving us a lot of time. At the cruise end, we arranged
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation from the port of Miami to Miami International Airport which was approximately a 30-minute drive for us as traffic was good. If you wish to explore Miami
pre-or post-cruise you can arrange this through Disney Cruise Line or you can explore the wide variety of hotel accommodations yourself. Many Miami-area hotels offer shuttle service from Miami International Airport as well as shuttle service to the port of Miami.
Tips:Upon booking your stay at Walt Disney World Resort please
associate or link your reservation to your Disney account via the My Disney Experience planning area and then please secure your
Disney Park Pass - Theme Park Reservations for each day of your valid theme park admission. Download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to manage your plans before and during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Using the app, you can create a Disney MagicMobile pass with
Disney MagicMobile Service to access theme park admission from your mobile device's digital wallet for greater convenience.
During your Walt Disney World Resort visit, using the My Disney Experience Mobile App consider opting into the
Disney Genie+ service which will save you time waiting in lines for attractions that offer the Lightning Lane entrance.
Download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to also manage your cruise plans and to also complete your Online Check-In 30-days from your sailing. Kindly refer to
Disney Cruise Line's - Know Before You Sail resource often in preparation for your voyage as information is on a continuum.
Xu, I hope this information serves you well, it was my honor assisting you today, kindly stop by for any other
planDisney first-hand tips and advice - thank you!
