We will visit WDW in December. Is there any word on the return of Fastpass? The wait times have been steadily increasing according to visitors' posts and I'm concerned about waiting an hour or more in line with a large group of people!

    Hi Monica!

We’re so happy to have you here at planDisney! Sounds like you are planning an INCREDIBLE holiday vacation. There’s truly no better place to celebrate than Walt Disney World.

I can understand why you are eager for the FastPass+ service to return to the parks. However, Disney has yet to announce when this feature will return. One of the reasons for temporarily pausing FastPass+ was to allow Guests to adequately social distance in the queues, and it has been quite successful! Guests are encouraged to stand 6 feet apart, and there’s plenty of space to work with. Certain areas of lines are even separated with plexiglass. I have found the safety measures above and beyond what I'm accustomed to back home in my daily routine.

One tip I have for your superhero family to pass the time standing in line for your favorite attractions is to play games on your phone. Did you know that the Play Disney Parks app has games, trivia, and even enhanced features when you are at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios? I’m all for entertainment options that make the wait time fly by!

As Mrs. Incredible would say, it's important to "be a bit more flexible” when it comes to the phased reopening of Walt Disney World. In my opinion, just being able to return to the magic is worth a few tweaks when it comes to health and safety! Rest assured that as soon as it’s feasible to do so, I’m certain that FastPass+ will be back online. Stay tuned to announcements about this and much more on the Disney Parks Blog

DASH back to planDisney anytime. We would be happy to work with you to plan a SUPER vacation!
