Hi there, Adrienne, and welcome to planDisney!
Fort Wilderness Resort is one of my favorite Resort hotel/campsites areas on Disney World property to visit when we’re not hanging out at the Disney Parks. From the high energy, dinner show
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue to activities at
Tri-Circle-D Ranch, there’s so much to do there.
Tri-Circle-D Ranch hosts experiences that even Guests who aren’t staying on property at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy. Mouseketeers aged 9 years and up (and are at least 48" tall) can participate in horseback riding, also known as "trail rides." And those of all ages can take a nice carriage ride around the Resort. You can check availability and book these experiences up to 60 days before you arrive. If you are driving to
Fort Wilderness, show your reservation and ID to the security guard and they will let you park at the Resort during your adventure.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you have little ones aged 3 to 9, consider doing a walk-up pony ride there, too. Because this and the all-inclusive wagon rides don't have a pre-booking option, either arrive at the Resort via boat or see if they will let you park your car (this is totally at the discretion of the parking attendant).
Adrienne, I hope that you have a great time at Tri-Circle-D Ranch! It’s really such a relaxing vibe at that Resort in general. You’ll want to revisit it again and again. If you have any additional planning questions,
revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
