Aloha, Tracy, and welcome to planDisney! It’s great to have you here!
Your question has me day-dreaming about an island getaway and humming along to “The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room,” the popular Disney song known from
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room attraction at
Disneyland Park. But it sounds like you’re thinking of stopping by my other favorite tropical destination,
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the
Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. This is one of my favorite dining locations at the
Disneyland Resort, thanks to the unique theming, amazing customer service, and delicious concoctions!
I’m happy to report that you are more than welcome to stop by for just a drink at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. Of course, it may be difficult to pass up the mouth-watering menu items, but if you’re stopping by on your way to or from another meal, this is the perfect spot to grab a tropical cocktail. My favorite drink
on the menu is the Piranha Pool, which includes Stoli Strasberi Vodka blended with pineapple juice, cream of coconut, strawberry purée, and blue curaçao… not only is it a beautiful blue color, but it tastes delicious, too!
As you mentioned, Trader Sam’s accepts reservations for dinner from 4:00 PM to 11:15 PM. Reservations are highly recommended, and can be made up to 60 days before your visit. So, you may want to set a reminder in your calendar for 60 days before your September visit, Tracy! Keep in mind that adventurers of all ages are welcome in the outdoor area of the bar until 8:00 PM. After that, the area is restricted to Guests 21 years of age and over.
If for any reason you’re unable to secure a reservation at Trader Sam’s, you can still cruise by to
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, located adjacent to Trader Sam’s, to grab a drink (and a DOLE Whip!) from the quick-service window.
I hope this information helps, Tracy! Please stop by with any additional planning questions you may have… we’re all EARs!
Cheers to a magical visit!
